About

My name is Shae , ShaeDanae- and I am so happy that you have come to visit my humble blog.

I am a 25-ish young lady that loves to create, cook, DIY, play, scrapbook, sing, garden and be joyful. This lifestyle blog is an opportunity for me to share my experiences as I seek out simplicity and joy, in a life that is sometimes overwhelmingly busy. Join me, as I endeavor to find a balance between work and play and all things in between.

The Coles Notes version of me:
  • Puppy mommy to two sweet Chihuahua’s- Lola Chiquita Banana , and Prince “Patcha” Dumbledoore. If you don’t want to see pics of cute puppies , this isn’t the blog for you
  • Daydreamer Extraordinaire
  • Shower Songstress- sometimes I may post a singing video or two.
  • Flexitarian- oh heck, I eat chicken and occasionally a slice of bacon or two.
  • Long term girlfriend to a very handsome man, who loves music and books, photography and travel- he’s a bit nerdy, I love that
  • Secretary at an outreach school and an evening secretary for adult education.
  • Adventure seeking world traveller
  • I dream of being a homemaker, mommy and doing work that allows me to be creative
  • I seek whole living: a healthy heart, spirit, body and mind.
  • A foodie who can devour anything with whipping cream faster than you can say “moo”
  • Sucker for cuddles and back tickles
  • Adores a clean and tidy home, bath and body works candles and watching my garden grow.

I started this blog for several reasons:

1. I am not a great writer. I know that this seems counter intuitive… “Hmmm, I stink at writing, so how about I start a blog.

The only way to get better is to practice; blogging is a platform for me to grow use of new

vernacular, grammar, and spelling skills -in my very own corner of the internet.

(So, I kindly ask if you have criticisms of my posts, please feel free to voice them, but if you want to critique my spelling, I ask you to please , do as your mother has always said and “ If you have nothing nice to say , say nothing at all.” PERIOD.)

2. I’ve got a lot of passions that I just can’t wait to share with you.

3. I have dreamed a dream where blogging in a café, or on a beach or by the ocean becomes a regular occasion. Where people, both friends and strangers, visit my blog to share ideas that helped them to feel balanced and joyful and that my life and love could touch more than just those closest to me.

So here is to taking a leep and landing on my feet.
